Paris Bids Farewell to the Olympics with a Spectacular Closing Ceremony

Tom Cruise is set to bring the Olympic Games to Los Angeles with a touch of Hollywood flair! He was the star attraction during an evening that emphasized the importance of preserving the spirit of the Games.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics’ closing ceremony, the “Mission Impossible” actor made a dramatic entrance by rappelling down from the roof of the Stade de France, where the event took place on Sunday. The stunt followed H.E.R.’s rendition of the U.S. national anthem. Once on the ground, Cruise greeted the athletes in the stadium, shaking hands as he made his way to the stage.

During the handover ceremony, Cruise received the Olympic flag from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and gymnastics icon Simone Biles, who appeared to be wearing a medical boot on her left leg. Bass and Biles had been called to the stage earlier to symbolize the transition from the Paris Games to the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Cruise then attached the flag to his motorcycle and rode through the streets of Paris. The scene transitioned to him boarding a plane, with the camera eventually cutting to a view of Los Angeles. In a final, dramatic moment, Cruise stood before the Hollywood sign, now redesigned to include the five Olympic rings.
