In the last 24 hours, Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least 36 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. This morning, at least 20 more people were killed in the central and southern parts of Gaza. Additionally, five individuals were killed in the Tubas governorate of the occupied West Bank during Israeli raids, including four who were struck by a drone in Tammun.
The United Nations humanitarian agency reported to the UNSC that a recent strike on a school in Gaza City, which resulted in at least 100 fatalities, was “far from an isolated incident,” noting that attacks on schools by Israel are becoming more frequent. Israel’s military has ordered Palestinians to evacuate additional areas of Khan Younis, signaling preparations for intensified military actions.
The ongoing conflict has claimed the lives of at least 39,965 individuals and injured 92,294 in Gaza. On the Israeli side, an estimated 1,139 people were killed during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, with over 200 taken captive.
