While Libyans were fighting to oust dictator Moamer Kadhafi last year, the new National Transitional Council named Ghariani in May 2011 as the top religious authority and judge of what is forbidden or permitted under Islam. The Tripoli-based scholar and author of 32 books was among the first to speak out against Kadhafi's regime after it launched a violent crackdown against a popular uprising in February 2011 in the eastern city of Benghazi and when Kadhafi was captured and slained last October, the grand mufti ruled the former strongman to be an "infidel," unworthy of prayers. ظهر المدعو الصادق الغرياني، الهارب إلى تركيا،وتبث محطته التلفزيونية من هناك، في مقطع مصور دعا فيه إلى منع إقامة الانتخابات في ليبيا بقوة السلاح عبر”بيان صريح ومصحوب بقعقعة السلاح” وفق تعبيره.
هذا الموقف والتحريض على العنف والإرهاب ليس غريبا عن جماعة”الإخوان” التي دمرت ليبيا وقامت بالسطو على مقدرات الليبيين ونهب ثرواتهم، والتي أدركت حقيقة لفظها من قبل شعوب المنطقة بعد انكشاف عوراتها .
وترتفع مثل هذه الأصوات”االنشاز” في حين أنذر المجتمع الدولي بفرض عقوبات على أي شخص أو كيان يحاول عرقلة الانتخابات، أو إثارة العنف قبل أو بعد إقامتها، وكذلك المشككين في نتائجها..
